The appalling cost in human lives from domestic and family violence

is a national tragedy of crisis proportions.

Red Rose Foundation’s founder, Betty Taylor AM, was a founding member of the Queensland Domestic and Family Violence Death Review and Advisory Board, a significant reform Queensland and for Australia, for which she had advocated over several years.

The Foundation’s current CEO, Lucy Lord, brings direct international experience as a former United Kingdom Home Office-accredited Domestic Homicide Review Chair, together with close to 30 years’ experience across domestic and family violence services, policy, advocacy and systemic reform in Australia and the United Kingdom. This combined expertise reinforces the charity’s founding commitment to ensuring that every domestic and family violence-related death is properly recognised, rigorously reviewed and translated into practical learning that prevents future deaths.
