The work of the Red Rose Foundation is enabled by a team of highly skilled and experienced counsellors, group facilitators and court support team. The Red Rose Foundation support team work to provide trauma-informed, therapeutic support specifically tailored to respond to the needs of women and families who have experienced high-risk domestic and family violence.

Jim Boden Chairperson
Jim has over18 years’ experience working in the Human Services sector, and currently works with the Local Government Association of Queensland, leading a project to support activities to raise awareness of DFV within Local Government.
Yasmin Khan Treasurer
Yasmin is the founder and CEO of the Bangle Foundation. She is a community advocate, who successfully founded and ran the award winning Eidfest for 11 years, a festival that celebrates the end of Ramadhan.
Di Macleod Secretary
Di has worked in the area of gender based violence for over 37 years and is currently Director of the Gold Coast Centre Against Sexual Violence Inc.
Betty has worked across the domestic violence sector for over 28 years and is a current member of the Child Death Review Panel and the Domestic Violence Death review Board.

Dr Brian Sullivan
Brian is the Senior Lecturer, Head of Course for the Domestic and Family Violence Practice Program at Central Queensland University.
Andrea’s commitment to social justice and a belief that all individuals should be empowered and supported to live full lives has seen her involved in a number of community initiatives across the Toowoomba region.
A/Superintendent Ben Martain
Ben has been has been a police officer for 24 years. Ben represents the QPS on several domestic and family violence (DFV) forums, committees and panels where he importantly hears and learns from the experiences of DFV victim survivors.
Craig is one of the most respected radio voices in Queensland and has been behind the ABC microphone for more than 15 years, presenting 1000s of interviews with everyone from Prime Ministers to the stars of the stage, screen and sporting fields.
The Red Rose Foundation has a team of both paid and volunteer professional drawn from diverse professional backgrounds including psychology, social work, counselling, social science, policing and health. The Red Rose Foundation also offers a limited number of student placement specifically from students studying post grad degree.
Tania Felstead is a Social Worker with 25 years’ experience in the social welfare sector. Tania’s experience includes roles as a counsellor, supervisor, manager and trainer in the areas of domestic and family violence and sexual assault, child protection and mental health.
