Our Board

The work of the Red Rose Foundation is enabled by a team of highly skilled and experienced counsellors, group facilitators and court support team. The Red Rose Foundation support team work to provide trauma-informed, therapeutic support specifically tailored to respond to the needs of women and families who have experienced high-risk domestic and family violence.

Lucy Lord
CEO

Lucy has worked with not-for profit organisations and statutory agencies responding to domestic abuse and violence against women and girls for over 20 years and brings a wealth of experience to the role. She is passionate about ending domestic violence in all its forms specifically non-lethal strangulation.

Di Macleod
Co-Chairperson

Di has worked in the area of gender based violence for over 37 years and is currently Director of the Gold Coast Centre Against Sexual Violence Inc.

Betty has worked across the domestic violence sector for over 28 years and is a current member of the Child Death Review Panel and the Domestic Violence Death review Board.

Yasmin is the founder and CEO of the Bangle Foundation. She is a community advocate, who successfully founded and ran the award winning Eidfest for 11 years, a festival that celebrates the end of Ramadhan.

Red Rose Foundation is pleased to announce that our founding member, Betty Taylor, has been appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in recognition of her outstanding service in the field of domestic and family violence. Betty's dedication and tireless efforts have made a significant impact in the community, and this prestigious honour highlights her commitment to making a difference.

The Red Rose Foundation has a team of both paid and volunteer professional drawn from diverse professional backgrounds including psychology, social work, counselling, social science, policing and health. The Red Rose Foundation also offers a limited number of student placement specifically from students studying post graduate degrees.

The Red Rose Foundation recognises the First Nation peoples of Australia as the traditional owners and custodians of these lands and waters. We pay our respect to them, their cultures and their elders past, present and emerging. We recognise the strength and resilience of First Nations Peoples in fighting for their cultures, communities, and lands.
