What we know:

Women who have been strangled as part of the abusive pattern of behaviour perpetrated against them, are being deemed to be 800%, more likely to be a victim of domestic homicide whether by strangulation or other forms of lethal assault (Glass et al., 2008).

One in four women will experience intimate partner violence (IPV) in their lifetimes, and of women at high risk, up to 68% will experience near-fatal strangulation by their partner with 35% of strangulation victims strangled…
